The Loya’s fourth annual “Houston Texans Tailgate White Out” bash took a turn from tradition Saturday night, moving from the Loya’s incredible swankienda to the ultra cool digs of LIFE HTX, the luxury event space.

The venue’s state-of-the-art projection, lighting and sound systems  permeated the scene with Houston Texans swagger and party chic.

Foodies relished the presence of renowned chef Rick Sandoval, whose Bayou & Bottle opens soon in the refurbished Four Seasons Hotel, provided food and drink. It was as much a treat to meet the star toque as it was to sample his idea of elevated tailgate fare. Love that raw oyster bar!

Entertainment included an aerial performer in Chicago Bears costume, who shed that outfit while hanging overhead from a large helix, and a cake in the shape of Toro’s torso with smoke flowing from his ears, descending from the ceiling to be greeted by the real Toro.
